EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alice R. Dozart announces her passing on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the comfort of her home at the age of 78. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:30pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Alice enjoyed many things in life, including quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafts and painting. She was a foster child growing up, and later became a foster parent, opening up her heart and home to children in need. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all, especially her husband of fifty-six years, Everette Dozart of Duralde; son, Jeff Dozart and wife, Jill of Lake Charles; daughter, Kim Falkenheiner and husband, Charles of Vidalia; brothers, Ed Ruedemann of Taos, NM, and Leonard Ruedemann of New Haven, CT; sister, Donna Wood of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Nicole Falkenheiner, Dylan Dozart, Katharine Falkenheiner, and Emily Dozart; two great grandchildren, Kyson Dozart and Luca Dozart; other children's lives she touched include, Tommy Bolfer of Texarkana, AR, Hilda Deville of New Roads, and Kim Bonfiglio of Baton Rouge; and extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Mary Theresa Turegano Rudemann; brother, Dennis Ruedemann; and sister, Pat Griem.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, March 24th from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Sunday, March 25th from 11:00 am until time of services.
