EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alice "Granny" Sylvester Pastorick announces her passing on Saturday, June 4, 2016 with her family at her side. She was 58. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Richard Newman officiating.

Alice, known as Granny, was a rural mail carrier for 15 years with the United States Postal Service and she enjoyed riding motorcycles. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of 37 years, John Dale Pastorick of Eunice; daughter, Desiree E. Spell and husband, Rusty of Eunice; son, John Roark Pastorick of Opelousas; two brothers, Robert Sylvester and wife, Kathy of Port Barre and Kenneth "Kenny" Sylvester of Sunset; three sisters, Sandra Doga of Opelousas, Terry Anderson and husband, Bruce of Krotz Springs, and Debbie Richard Fontenot and husband, Gary of Eunice; and four grandchildren, Courtney, Kylie and Emily Castille, and Stephanie Istre.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Carey Sylvester; and brother, Ronny Sylvester.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, June 7th from 10:00 am until time of services.

The family would like to also extend their thanks to Lamm Hospice and Dr. Debra Johnson.
