Eunice

With profound sadness, the family of Amanda Nicole Fontenot shares the news of her passing on November 15, 2024, at the age of 41 while at Acadian Medical Center. Amanda's bright spirit and infectious warmth lit up the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving cherished memories etched in the hearts of her loved ones. In this time, we celebrate her remarkable legacy of kindness, love, and joy, vowing to carry her light within us always.

Born on December 10, 1982, Amanda was a proud 2001 graduate of Eunice High School, remembered fondly for her radiant smile, infectious humor, and compassionate heart. She was dedicated to her studies at LSUE and served as a beloved bus driver for the St. Landry Parish School Board, also working at the Crawfish Barn. Amanda had a passion for playing softball and was the life of every gathering. Above all, she was a devoted mother to Seth Landreneau and Addyson Fontenot, and a loving daughter to Janice McGee, all of Eunice. She cherished her role as a sister to Chris Fontenot and wife Angela, of Eunice, as well as to her stepbrother Damian McGee (Joe) of Iota and stepsister Tiffany McGee, of Eunice along with her extended family and countless dear friends.

Amanda is preceded in death by her stepfather, Cullen McGee, and her maternal grandparents, Roddie and JoAnne LaCombe Fontenot, who will surely welcome her into the embrace of eternal peace.
