IOTA-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anthony Cain Leger announces his passing on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley at the age of 31. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota with Father Jude Thierry, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at a later date and time in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Anthony was one of a kind and had a strong love for his family, especially his Godchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his father, Dwayne A. Leger of Iota, mother, Melissa Womack Davis and husband, Keith of Bainbridge, GA; siblings, Stephanie K. Gaither, and Brandie F. Gaither, both of Bainbridge, GA, Joshua D. Leger and wife, Morgan of Iota, and Stacy W. Leger and wife, Lindsey of Bainbridge, GA; Godchildren, Camalee R. Leger, Zachary D. Leger, Rosalee A. Leger, and Brently W. Leger; maternal grandparents, James Womack and Betty Jean Harbin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse P. and Camalee H. Leger; nephew, Joshua Kaleb Leger; and aunt, Catherine L. Bartet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Iota on Saturday, July 28th from 9:00 am until of services.
