EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Archie Coker announces his passing on Saturday, October 03, 2015 at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor at the age of 83. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on October 06, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Gabriel S. Coker of Lafayette; his four children, Keith Coker and wife, Isabelle of Lubbock, TX, Ronnie Coker of Lafayette, Sheila Coker of Rayne and Kevin Coker and Valerie of Lafayette; and his sister, Willie Mae Ashley of Oakdale. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Tasha Domingue Wright and husband, Ted, Jimmy Coker, Nickolas Coker, Ryan Coker and wife, Brandy, Dustin Coker, Karlie Coker and Brandon Anderson; his five great grandchildren, Tori, Tanner and Tristen Wright, Haden and Hudson Coker; as well as extended family and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Romelzy and Evie Willis Coker; four brothers and one sister.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, October 5th from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday, October 6th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday evening by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
