Bart L. Thibodeaux

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bart L. Thibodeaux announces his passing on March 6, 2021 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette at the age of 60. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice.

Bart was a proud veteran of the United States Army. After graduating from St. Edmund High School and honorably completing his military service, Bart became a member of the Eunice Police Department. He then worked for the Bureau of Prisons, and later retired from the Department of Homeland Security as an Immigration Enforcement Agent.

Bart will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 29 years, Jackie Fontenot Thibodeaux of Eunice; his mother, Bobbie Thibodeaux of Eunice; his children, Jeremy B. Thibodeaux, Jacob E. Thibodeaux, and Alicia T. Soileau and husband, Zac, all of Eunice; sisters, Debra Thibodeaux and Darla Thibodeaux, both of Eunice; grandchildren, Carter, Landon, and Allie Olivier, Stella Soileau, Ben, Jonah, and Lillian Thibodeaux; mother-in-law, Cecelia Landreneau Fontenot of Eunice; sister-in-laws, Pam Soileau and husband, George, Mona Guillory and husband, Gerald, and Belinda Thibodeaux, all of Eunice; brother-in-law, Terry Miller of Eunice; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonce “Pip” Thibodeaux; brother, Dwaine Thibodeaux; father-in-law, Gerald “Jay” Fontenot; and sister-in-law, Carla F. Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm followed by the Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm.
