EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Bobby Hamous, Sr. announces his passing on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Lasalle General Hospital in Jena at the age of 63 years old. A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with Pastor Chris Frye officiating.
Bobby loved Eunice High School and was a loyal and devoted fan and volunteer of Eunice High sports. He coached many youth sports for his sons growing up, overcoming any and all obstacles to continue to be a loving and devoted father. Bobby also loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wilma B. Hamous of Eunice; sons, Bobby Hamous, Jr. and wife, Celeste of Pelham, AL and Chris Hamous and wife, Rosa of Eunice; sisters, Cindy Bailey and husband, Mike of New Iberia and Pam Fontenot and husband, Mitch of Mamou; four grandchildren, Braxton, Katherine, Maddie, and Caroline Hamous; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond “Fuzzy” and Jan Lemoine Hamous; brother, Raymond “Bubba” Hamous, Jr.; and sister, Connie Godeaux.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, September 2nd from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday, September 3rd from 8:00 am until time of services.
