EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of Carla Therese Sattler announces her passing on Thursday, May 05, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 62. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 07, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Carla loved and enjoyed gardening. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her mother, Iola Manuel Miller of Eunice; daughter, Amanda Sattler Myers of Kinder; brother, Robert Sonnier and wife, Gwen of Eunice; and three grandchildren, Courtney Gaspard Brooks, Mackenzie Myers, and Emma Vidrine.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Sattler; father, Carmen Sonnier; step-father, Weston Miller; brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Sonnier; and son in-law, Taylor Myers.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, May 6th from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Saturday, May 7th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening
