PINE PRAIRIE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carrol James Bellard announces his passing on Monday, March 19, 2018 at University Health Shreveport at the age of 70. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Carrol was a retired painter who loved to fish, garden, woodwork, playing cards, restoring old cars, raising chickens and pigeons. He was a family man who was always willing to help anyone in need and was a great friend to many, who entertained everyone with his stories. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Annie Lee of Pine Prairie; his three children, Angela Bellard of Eunice, Daniel Bellard of Turkey Creek and Elizabeth Doucet and husband, Toby of Chataignier; three step children, Stacy Guillory and wife, Dedee, Donna O'Connor and husband, Mike and Mandy Deshotel and husband, Shane all of Pine Prairie; two brothers, Aaron Bellard of Chataignier and Caprus Bellard of Eunice; a sister, Melba Labbie of Church Point; the joys of his life his six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and six great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Joseph Bellard; parents, Presly and Emay Comeau Bellard; brothers, Stanley, Vernon, Kelly and John Bellard; sisters, Mildred Manuel, Myrtis Stelly, Clenda Jacobs and Geraldine Reed.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 20th from 1 pm until 8 pm and again on Wednesday, March 21st from 8 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 pm on Tuesday.
