EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cathy LeJeune Fuselier announces her passing on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Ochsner Medical Center New Orleans at the age of 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Dugas, Celebrant.

Cathy LeJeune Fuselier, born on December 18, 1951, in Eunice, Louisiana, was a beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Effie Chapman LeJeune. With compassion as her guiding compass, she dedicated forty-six years as a registered nurse, offering her healing touch at many places she worked, including Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She also cared for students as a school nurse in St. Landry and Acadia Parish Schools. Cathy was not only a caregiver in her professional life but also found joy in the simple pleasures—crafting with creativity and delighting in the beauty of hummingbirds, always ensuring their feeders were filled. Her gentle spirit and dedication to others will be cherished and remembered fondly.

A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Cathy is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Roderick Fuselier of Brookhaven, MS; her son, Adam Fuselier and wife, Nancy of Brookhaven, MS; brother, Norman Fusilier of Covington; sister, Eva Lee of Eunice; her two grandchildren, Cora Lynn Fuselier and Walter Craig Fuselier, both of Brookhaven, MS; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm, and again on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a rosary at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
