Cederick Fontenot

BASILE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Cederick F. Fontenot announces his passing on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou at the age of 78. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile with Father David Hebert, officiating.

Cederick served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a retired Barber. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Ethel J. Molitor Fontenot of Basile; his two daughters, Charlotte "Packie" Primm and husband, Rodney of San Leon, TX and Ginger Keith and husband, Gene of Gautier, MS; his five step-children, Allen Gokey, Brenda G. Thibodeaux, Cindy M. Spears, Wesley Molitor, and Catina M. Hebert all of Basile; two brothers, Roland James Fontenot of Pine Prairie and Vincent Henry Fontenot of Basile; one sister, Deanna Stapleton of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Joseph Fontenot and Olivia V. Rayburn; a son, Ronald James Fontenot; step-daughter, Clara M. Reed; and two brothers, John Willy and Everette Fontenot.
