Charles "Charlie" "Bill" Guillory

Charles "Charlie" "Bill" Guillory, a beloved figure in the Eunice community, passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 17, 1941, in Eunice, Charlie was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by commitment to his family and service to his community.

Charlie had a diverse and fulfilling career as an electrician and air conditioning technician, using his skills to help many in his community. He was also a passionate crawfish farmer, sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends alike. His community spirit extended beyond his work; he served as a referee for high school football games, offering his time to ensure that young athletes could pursue their passion for the sport. Additionally, Charlie ran bingo for St. Edmund's Spring fair, further contributing to the community he cherished.

In his personal time, Charlie was known for his love of cooking, baking, and barbecuing, hobbies that brought joy to many gatherings. He enjoyed hunting and found peace in gardening, while playing bourre provided him with opportunities for camaraderie and fun.

Charlie is survived by his two sons, Jasper Guillory of Houston, TX, and Jude Guillory of Eunice; daughters Kim Manuel and her husband Neal of Lafayette, and Karen Lejeune and her husband Benny of Eunice; grandchildren Christopher Lejeune and his wife Rhonda of Ville Platte, Eric Manuel of Lafayette, Lesli Guillory of Eunice, Drake Lejeune of Eunice, and Emily Hughes and her husband Reid of Baton Rouge; as well as great-grandchildren Elena Lejeune and Liam Lejeune of Eunice, and Merit Claire Hughes of Baton Rouge.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elaine C. Guillory, as well as his parents, Charles Milton Guillory and Ethel Comeaux Guillory. He is also mourned by his brother, Kenneth "Keno" Guillory, and sister, Ramona Fontenot.

A Memorial Mass in celebration of Charlie's life will be held on June 17, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Charlie leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
