Charlotte's life was filled with love for her family and community.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlotte Manuel Frey on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 77. Surrounded by her loving family, she left this world peacefully at her home. A devoted parishioner and active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Charlotte shared her faith as a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Women of Grace, a lector, and a Eucharistic minister.
Born on September 27, 1949, to Oney and Florence Trahan Manuel, Charlotte's life was filled with love for her family and community. Her passions included working, reading, and sewing, but it was her family that brought her the greatest joy. She was a cherished wife to Ralph Frey, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years, and a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Ralph; her children Monica Frey Cormier (Craig), Alicia Frey Hebert (Jeff), and Aaron Frey (Lydia); her siblings Carolyn Simar (David), Brady Manuel (Tambra), and Kayla Manuel (Craig); her grandchildren Michaela Frey, Kristian Fontenot, Connor Fontenot, Bethany Fontenot, Garrett Cormier, Stephen Cormier, Ellen Cormier, Claire Cormier, Taylor Gastal, Maddison Frey, Winston Frey III, and Rebecca Frey; and her great-grandchildren Kaylin Benoit, Jackson Benoit, Griffin Fontenot, Carson Fontenot, Wesley Cormier, Karter Cormier, Phillip Cormier, Evelyn Swift, and Eloise Gastal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her son Winston Frey II, brother Tony Manuel, and brother-in-law Belynn Frey.
It was her family that brought her the greatest joy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Frey Cemetery. Visitation begins at 8:30 am, with a rosary at 10:00 am.
Charlotte will be forever in our hearts. Family and friends may express their condolences and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com. Ardoin’s Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
