Claudrey Lejeune

IOTA-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Claudrey James LeJeune announces his passing on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Acadia General in Crowley at the age of 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry, Celebrant.

Claudrey enjoyed walking in the woods, bodybuilding, and collecting coins, guns and knives. He most of all treasured spending time with his family. All of his grandchildren were his Tee-ma-mas, Tee-girls, and Tee-bois. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his children, Kirk LeJeune of Lake Arthur, Angela Simon and husband, James of Morse, Susan Dailey and husband, Brian, and Annette LeJeune, all of Egan; brother, Harry LeJeune and wife, Anita of Iota; eleven grandchildren, Bruce, Blake, D.J., Jeffery, Ashley, Addyson, Annah Claire, Skyler, Heidi, Hannah, and Spencer; eleven great grandchildren, Jordyn, Kaleb, Madison, Andrew, Wyatt, James, Tatyn, Amiah, Carter, Asher, Jensen, and one on the way; and his companion, Angie Abshire; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Olivia Pousson LeJeune; his infant twin children, and grandson, Shawn.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, July 21st from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm, and again on Friday, July 22nd from 8:00 am until time of services. A Cursillo Rosary will be prayed at 6 pm on Thursday.
