EUNICE Our hearts are sad as we announce the death of our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Daphne Nan Debarge Land in the comfort of her home in Lafayette. She was 89. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Daphne known as Nan to all who knew her was a caregiver for 30 years. She loved to read and watch game and cooking shows as well as an avid conservationists. She will be greatly missed by her son, Norman Land of Breaux Bridge her niece, Elaine Debarge of Lake Charles nephew, Ray Bergeron and wife, Sophie of Lafayette. She was blessed with two grandsons, one great grandson and two great granddaughters.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Paul Land her parents, Adeole and Marie Bertrand Debarge two brothers, Harold and Batson Debarge.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, January 11th from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 11:00 am Saturday morning.
