David Sonnier

EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of David Wayne Sonnier announces his passing on Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Sulphur at the age of 66. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 01, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.
David was the previous owner of David’s Mini Mart in Eunice. He never met a stranger and everyone was a friend to him. David will be missed dearly by his son, Travis Wayne Sonnier of Eunice; Travis’ mother, Melba Sonnier of Eunice; brother, Nelson Sonnier and wife, Lou Ann; sisters, Joyce Richard of Sulphur, Viola Boudreaux and husband, Gerald of Eunice, and Jo Ann Dupre and husband, Bobby of Eunice; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by a son, Brian David Sonnier; parents, Joseph and Armide Leger Sonnier; and sister, Catherine Sonnier.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, June 30th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Monday, July 1st from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 6:00 pm Sunday.
