EUNICE-Funeral services for Mr. Deus Dea Ardoin will be held on Wednesday,

September 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial to follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Mr. Ardoin, age 96, a resident of Eunice died on Sunday, September 17, 2006, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in many European Campaigns during WWII including the invasion of Normandy. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ardoin; parents; two sisters and six brothers.

The visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday. September 20, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Survivors are his son, Archie Ardoin of Eunice and wife, Rita; a brother, Gilbert Ardoin of Jennerette and wife, Audrey; a special friend Lou Fuselier of Eunice; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
