Donvan "Donnie" Lavergne

With heavy hearts, the family of Donvan “Donnie” Lavergne announces his peaceful passing on December 11, 2024.

 Born on December 5, 1954, in Eunice to William and Thelma Clavier Lavergne, he passed away after a long battle with cancer.

 Donnie enjoyed writing, golfing and watching sports. He leaves behind his son, Avery Guidry of Lafayette; his brothers, Terrel “Murph” Lavergne (Keri), Dale Lavergne (Geraldine), Kent Lavergne, and Ricky Lavergne (Mary) all of Swords; his sisters, Brenda L. Mistrot (Pierre) of Three Mile Lake and Charlotte L. Chapman (Terry) of Swords. Donnie is also survived by his dear friend, Samantha Olivier.

 The family wishes to express their gratitude to his close friend, David Lecoq, for his support and companionship during Donnie’s journey.

 Donnie is preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother, Wayne Lavergne; sisters-in-law, Johnette D. Lavergne and Brenda Kaye Lavergne; and a niece, Dawn Lavergne Blanchard.

 A graveside service to honor Donnie’s memory will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, with Father Mark Ledoux, officiating.
