EUNICE-Funeral service for Edwin Cormier, Sr., 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church of Duralde. Rev. Gene Tremie will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery of Eunice.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Eunice on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 5 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Ed was a lifelong resident of Eunice. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sherry, for over 55 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Ed worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. He also loved spending time with family and friends. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sherry Ann Cormier, of Eunice; two sons, Eddie Cormier, Jr. and wife, Jill, of Eunice and Randy Cormier and wife, Angie, of Covington; one daughter, Tiffany Cormier Ward, of Eunice; six grandchildren-Kylie Cormier, Jennifer Babineaux, Emily, Eddie, and Gracie Cormier, and James Patrick Ward; and, three great grandchildren-Ava Gibson and Cullen and Jolie Babineaux.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Narcus and Alice Cormier; his brother, Nathan Cormier; and his sister, Virgie Boone.
