His job eventually led him and his family to Denver Colorado, where he retired from the USGS but began work as a full time Grandfather. Through the years Ed became grandfather to 9 children, all of which he loved deeply. In his retired days, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching sports and regaling anyone who would listen to his stories of a long and eventful life, with that added Ed flare of course.
