EUNICE-A wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Frederick Brown who passed away on Sunday, October 04, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, October 07, 2009 at 11:00 am at the St. Thomas Chapel in Savoy. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sonny Brown officiating.

Frederick was born on June 12, 1923 in Eunice and lived a very full life surrounded by people who loved him and he loved. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II and the Korean War and also a retired manager of H. Brown Machine Shop and Iron Works.

Frederick will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Carl Frederick Brown and his wife, Katie of St. Martinville, Daniel Keith Brown and wife, Kathy of Lafayette, and Gregory Allen Brown and his wife, Cynthia of Scott; his two daughters, Margaret Ann Stageman and her husband, Craig of Eunice, Joanie Marie Quibodeaux and her husband, Stephan of Abbeville; his six sisters, Jane Benson of Carencro, Louella Pitre, Mary Brignac both of Eunice, Jackie Bollich of Mowata, Francil Mott and Sandra West both of Eunice; twenty grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Now he rests in heaven with his loving wife, Alma Landreneau Brown and his parents, Agnes and Mafie Guillory Brown.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, October 06, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 07, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
