Geneva Duhon Comeaux

With heavy hearts, the family of Geneva Duhon Comeaux announces her peaceful passing on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Ochsner University Health Center with her loving family by her side. Geneva, aged 65, will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Geneva was born on June 2, 1958, to Cleve and Matilda Pelican Duhon, who have gone before her. She found joy in the outdoors and cherished moments spent camping, but above all, she treasured time with her family and adored her grandchildren. A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Geneva's warmth and love resonated throughout her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Patrick Comeaux of Basile; her three children: Cody Comeaux and his wife Stephanie of Basile, Bambi Chantell Comeaux of Crowley, and Dustin Comeaux and his wife Brittany of Basile; her sister Catherine Bonin of Crowley; as well as the thirteen lights of her life - her grandchildren: Paige Bergeaux and her husband Greg, Tripp, Jon and Lexi Thibodeaux, Payton, Stormy and Kohen Comeaux, Rheagan Burton, Jett and Maxx LaFleur, Pierson, Kingston and Kreed Comeaux. Additionally survived by nine great-grandchildren along with extended family members and dear friends who held a special place in Geneva's heart.

She now joins in eternal peace her daughter Xoreta Courville; mother, Matilda Pelican Duhon; father, Cleve Duhon; stepmother Terri Duhon; siblings Louis Duhon, David Duhon, JoAnn Duhon; as well as a great-granddaughter.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Geneva's life at a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 11th at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Following the service will be the inurnment at Liberty Cemetery in Elton officiated by Father Keenan Brown.
