EUNICE-A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Genevieve Pitre, 70, who passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Eunice Manor. Rite of Committal to follow in the Mt. Carmel Mausoleum in Chataignier with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

A loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Genevieve is survived by her son, Linton T. Pitre, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Ville Platte, two daughters, Cynthia Marie Fontenot of Mire and Phyllis Pitre of Opelousas; two brothers, Albert Rozas, Jr of Eunice, Floyd Rozas of Lake Charles; three sisters, Pris Fruge of Lake Charles, Fern Nutt of Sulphur, Marion Baltoff of Mamou; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linton T. Pitre, Sr; a daughter, Debbie Lynn LeJeune; and her parents, Albert and Marie Fruge Rozas, Sr.

The family request visiting hours are observed on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening.
