EUNICE ~ It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Gerald Hale announces his passing on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father, Sensat Celebrant.

Gerald was a United States Marines and National Guard veteran who proudly served his country. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Gerald was retired from Halliburton after working for thirty years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and remembered by all, especially by his wife of sixty-six years, Ethel Hale of Eunice; his son, Mike Hale and wife, Shirley of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Wanda Veillon and husband, Billy of Centerville and Darlene Mire and husband, Christopher of Iota; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Stroderd and Karen Veillon; parents, Oscar Hale and Goldie Boughman; siblings, Bud Hale and Ossielee Doucet; granddaughter, Alesia Stroderd; and great grandson, Jaxon Walter Veillon.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, June 13th from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, June 14th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Robbie Leger will pray a  Rosary at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
