EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gladys R. Meyer announces her passing on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Eunice Manor with loving family by her side at the age of 92. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with Pastor Vernon Martindale officiating. Entombment will be on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Mausoleum in Houston, TX.

Gladys was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was an avid world traveler, hunter, fisher and a real southern lady. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especial her daughter, Andrea L. West of Eunice: two step- sons, Craig F. Meyer of New Braunfels, TX and Randall E. Myer and wife, Eunice of Houston, TX; her brother, Elton Reynolds of Rosenberg, TX and the three joys of her life her grandchildren, Kelly Pitre and husband, David Lance of Eunice, Paige Thomas and husband, Kevin of Friendswood, TX, and Robert Young of Houston, TX and one step grandson, Travis Meyer; seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Heidi, Alain, Camille and Nicolas Pitre and Taylor and Jake Thomas; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmond "Eddie" Meyer; her son, Larry O'Neal Young; five siblings, and her four legged companion, Schnitzel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, May 18th from 4:00 pm until time of services.
