EUNICEHarold K. Youngs children are saddened to announce that their beloved father has suddenly passed away on Wednesday, December 08, 2010 at his residence at the age of 52. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 10, 2010 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Brother Kevin Richard and Brother Joshua Johnson officiating.

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1976 to 1980. He was the owner and operator of American Auto Salvage for the past 30 years in Ville Platte. A wonderful father, brother and grandfather, Harold leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his four daughters, Callie Lynn Young Vidrine and husband, Bret of Denham Springs, Jenna Cay Young of Baton Rouge, Madison Elizabeth Young and Erin Alyse Young both of Eunice his two brothers, Anthony Tony Young and wife, Monita of Ville Platte and Franklin Tee Young, Jr. of Alexandria his sister, Neva Y. Ardoin and husband, Joe of Ville Platte and the joy of his life his granddaughter, Catherine Grace Vidrine. Harold will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Franklin and Catherine Blanchard Young and his daughter, Jessica Nicole Young.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, December 9th from 5:00 pm until midnight and again on Friday, December 10th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Austin Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Thursday evening.
