Helen A Guillory

     EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Helen A. Guillory announces her passing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the comfort of her home at the age of 82. Helen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

     Helen was born on May 05, 1941 to Telus and Elmyre Young Aucoin. Her parents provided her with a loving upbringing and instilled in her values that she carried throughout her life. Helen found joy and fulfillment in simple pleasures such as cooking for her family and friends, immersing herself in books, and delighting in the company of her grandchildren.

     Above all else, Helen cherished her role as a devoted wife to Mickey James Guillory for sixty-six wonderful years. Their love was an inspiration to all who witnessed it, a true testament to the power of unwavering commitment and companionship.

     Helen will be forever remembered as a loving mother to Vickie Guillory Gatte and husband, Fralan of Jennings and John Ross Guillory and wife, Lisa of Eunice. She embraced every moment with them and poured boundless love into their lives. Her dedication to her children knew no limits.

     Helen's greatest joy came from her cherished role as a grandmother. The smiles and laughter of her grandchildren, John Rhett Guillory of Eunice and T. J. Gatte and wife, Caitlin of Jennings, were a constant source of light and happiness in her life.

     In addition to her immediate family, Helen leaves behind extended family members and dear friends whose lives she impacted in countless ways.

     Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Telus and Elmyre Young Aucoin, as well as her siblings Jerry D. Aucoin, Nettie Young, and Berkman Aucoin. Their love and influence will forever be treasured in Helen's memory.

     At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Friday, January 26^th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ardoin Funeral Home in Eunice. On Saturday, January 27^th visitation will resume at 9:00 am until services time at 11:00 am at First United Pentecostal Church in Eunice, officiated by Rev. Ronald LaCombe. A burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

     As we mourn the loss of Helen, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives and the love she shared unconditionally.
