Helen Johnson

Helen Ardoin Johnson, 81, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Katy, Tx. She was born in Basile on December 24, 1940 in Basile, La. to Adam and Annabelle Ardoin. She attended and graduated at Basile High School. She met the love of her life, Caspereen Johnson, and married in 1960. She worked at Basile State Bank for many years and was loved by her co-workers and the Basile Community. Helen and Casper moved to Katy to be closer to their children in 2016, where they enjoyed their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids until their passing.

Helen was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Casper, and her sister Elsie Rose, and brother Wilbert “Bert” Ardoin. Helen leaves behind her children, Gary and wife, Donna of Katy, Cecilia Bellon, and husband Mark of Houston, grand kids, Jacob and wife Lauren and great grandson Luke of Katy, David and Rachael, great granddaughters Hazel and Raven, of Richmond, Tx., and grandson Stephen Regan of Lake Charles, Taylor and Chris Morein, great grandchildren Carter, Davis and Lee of The Woodlands, Texas, Alec and Tasia Bellon and great grandson Rhen of Rayne, La., Ian Bellon of Eunice, La. She also leaves behind three sisters, Glen Bergeaux of Iota, Gladys Rose of Central, La, and Velma Guidry of Iota.

Visitation for family at 8:00 a.m. and for friends and community from 9 a.m. until time of services at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with a funeral service at St Augustine Catholic Church at 3 p.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine Mausoleum.
