EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Hilton Soileau, Sr. announce his passing on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his residence. He was 85. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Travis Brice officiating.
Hilton retired from the United Postal Service after working 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy having served in the World War II and was a Merchant Seaman after serving in the Navy. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Disabled Veterans of America. But most of all, he was a loving father to three children, two sons, Hilton Soileau, JR. and wife, Carolyn of Mamou, John Blake Soileau of Eunice and a daughter, Christa Vidrine of Lafayette. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Annette Soileau his parents, Alius and Adia Ardoin Soileau sisters, Helena Conkerton and Beverly Sanders.
At the request of the family services will be at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, December 31st from 1:00 pm until time of services
