Igor Patrick Golden, 73, of Basile, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026.

A devoted educator, Igor dedicated his life to shaping and inspiring young minds through his many years of teaching at Trinity High School and La Lumière High School. His passion for learning and commitment to his students left a lasting impact on countless lives. He held an undergraduate degree from St. Norbert College and master’s degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Harvard University, reflecting his lifelong dedication to scholarship and faith. Beyond the classroom, he found great joy in collecting books and cultivating a lifelong love of knowledge.

Igor now rejoices in Heaven alongside his parents, Tony Golden and Jacqueline Benson.

Igor will be remembered for his dedication to education, his intellectual curiosity, and the kindness he shared with those around him.
