BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial for Irene C. Granger, 89, will be Celebrated Monday, June 23, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Ken Dominque officiating.

Mrs. Granger, a resident of Basile, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Basile Care Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hebert and husband, Kenneth of Oberlin; step-daughter, Jeanette Vallee of Elton; step-son, Jessie Granger of Oberlin; one brother, Darrell Chaumont of Basile; two sisters, Irece George of Basile and Ella Ray of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Carla Guillory and husband, Dan of Oberlin, Kirt Hebert of Lafayette, and Luke Hebert of New Jersey; two great grandchildren, Hope and Stone Hebert; and three step-great grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, and Savannah Guillory.

Her husband, Augustine Pete Granger and a sister, Cleola Christ preceded her in death.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 8:00 a.m until services. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00 pm.
