EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Irene Garcille Prescott announces her passing on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center at the age of 93. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 4:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Irene retired at the age of 62 from the South Central Bell Telephone Company. She enjoyed the company of her cats, and loved doing yard work and attending church. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by her son, Burton Powell and wife, Joyce of Eunice three grandchildren, J.B. Powell, Jr. and wife, Jody of Eunice, Kayla Young of Gonzales, and Lauri Vasseur and husband, David of Waller, TX and four great grandchildren, Rachel and Andre Powell, Taylor Young and Allison Vasseur.
She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, John Prescott, and brother, Ira Garcille.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, February 14th from 3:00 pm until time of services.
