It is with great sadness that the family of Jackie Ray Henry announces his passing on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at The Verandah in Lake Charles at the age of 81. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile with Deacon Robby Leger officiating.

Jackie was a Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force and retired after 21 years. After retiring, he and his family moved to Basile in 1975 where he began working for CSX Oil and Gas and later retired. Jack loved camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, and four wheeler riding.

He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving wife of fifty eight years, Jean DeRousell Henry of Basile; two loving daughters, Teresa Renee Henry Hebert and her husband, Randall, and Rachel Ann Henry Miller, all of Lake Charles; a sister, Diana Forbes of Princeton, West Virginia; and his four grandchildren, Cody James Miller, Hunter Sevan Hebert, Michael Quinn Miller and Jackie Katelynn Hebert.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Beatrice Brewster Henry; and sister, Nancy Garzanit.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and again on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm led by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
