EUNICE~ On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Jeanette Matt Johnson, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away at Acadian Medical Center at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 03, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin, officiating.

Jeanette was born in Mowata on November 23, 1938, to Willis Henry and Lucille Manuel Matt. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed embroidery, ceramics and was an active member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.  Most importantly, Jeanette had a deep love for her family, and cherished the time they would spend together. She leaves behind her children, David Ardoin and wife, Lisa of Duralde, Chris Ardoin and wife, Carmen of Baltimore, MD, Angie Butler and husband, David of Madison, AL, Jenny Manuel and husband, Boobie of Oberlin and Joey Johnson and wife, Mary of Eunice. Also surviving are the joys of her life, nine grandchildren and six grandchildren as well as extended family and dear friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Loicy Johnson, her parents and her brother, Willard Ray Matt.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, November 3rd from 9:00 am until time of services.
