With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Jeanora C. Miller, who left us peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville, at the age of 83.
A Chapel Service will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice at 11:00 am on Monday, May 26, 2025, with burial to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Born on August 29, 1941, to the late Forest and Clementine Verrett Courville, Jeanora was a beacon of warmth and love in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. A dedicated beautician for many years, she possessed a natural gift for making others feel beautiful, both inside and out. Jeanora found immense joy in-tending to her chickens and nurturing her beautiful flowers, which reflected her vibrant spirit and nurturing heart.
Her legacy lives on through her cherished family. Jeanora was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Franklin J. Miller of Albany; Kenneth K. Miller and wife, Keeley of Iowa; Darrin K. Miller and wife, Michelle of Youngsville; Juene E. Lalonde and companion, Coby Broussard of Arnaudville; and Phyllis M. Schlag and husband, Ken of Little Falls, NY. She is also survived by her brother, Forest Courville, Jr., and wife, Karen of Greenville, TX, sisters, Clara Mallet of Pearland, TX. Judy Roy and husband, Cecil of Chataigner; and Kathy Courville and husband, Ricky of Eunice. Jeanora was blessed with nineteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and one on the way, and one great great grandchild on the way, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
Jeanora will be dearly missed, especially by her extended family and many treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bonnie Vasseur, and grandchildren Kristen Miller and Joshua Young, who welcomed her with open arms in a peaceful reunion.
At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, May 25th, from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm, with a Rosary being prayed at 4:30 pm by Deacon Gary Gaudin, again on Monday, May 26th, from 8:00 am until time of services.
As we lay Jeanora to rest, we are comforted by the love and support of her family, including her pallbearers Kenny Ray Miller, Jr., Quinten Miller, Brandon Hollier, Casey Miller, Hobie Miller, and Luke Young, along with honorary pallbearers Tucker Rogers, Zach Rogers, and Joseph Hollier, Jr. The family invites you to celebrate Jeanora’s life and legacy by visiting her obituary and signing the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com. The arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Eunice, located at 1301 West Laurel Ave, (337) 457-3371.
Though Jeanora has left this world, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She taught us the importance of love, connection, and the beauty in life’s simple pleasures. We will carry her memory with us, now and always.
