Jerry James Guillory

     The family of Jerry James Guillory announces his passing on Wednesday, January 03, 2024. at Acadian Medical Center at the age of 84. A private Memorial Service will be held at Guillory Cemetery.

     Jerry was born on February 18, 1939, to the late Lindsey and Hilda Aucoin Guillory. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He cherished his time in the service and was honored to have had the opportunity to contribute to the nation's defense.

       After leaving the military, Jerry became a hard-working farmer and entrepreneur. He dedicated himself to the land and his business endeavors with unwavering determination. His commitment brought him great success, but it was his passion for farming that truly defined him. Whether tending to crops or caring for livestock, he found solace and fulfillment in the rhythm of nature's cycles.

      Jerry's dedication extended beyond work. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Melbarene C. Guillory. Their love served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and joy.

     Jerry will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, cousins, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

     He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Willie Mae Guillory.
