Jocelyn "Phello" Peloquin

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jocelyn Phyllis “Phello” Peloquin announces her passing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 60. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

Jocelyn, known as Phello to all, was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed life and lived a life well-lived. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was loved by everyone. Jocelyn will be missed by all, especially her daughters, Savanah Fontenot and husband, Gregory of Mamou, Hailey Leger of Eunice, and Kamrie Giroir and husband, Jessie of Eunice; the father of her children, Ricky Leger of Eunice; her life-long best friend, David Bordelon, Sr. of Eunice; her canine partner in crime, Peppie; bonus daughters, Megan Lantron and Jamie Fruge, both of Eunice, Heidi LeBleu of Basile, Hiedi Miller and Cortnie Fogleman, both of Eunice; grandchildren, Jacelyn Fontenot and Drake Giroir; nine Godchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Joseph Peloquin, Sr. and Lillie Gotreaux Peloquin; her sisters, Evelyn Benoit and Juanita Peloquin; and her brother, Sidney Joseph Peloquin, Jr.; and nephew, Jamie Arnold.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, August 5th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again on Friday, August 6th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
