EUNICEIt is with regret that the family of John Fontenot announces his passing on Thursday, January 09, 2014 at Eunice Manor at the age of 88. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

John proudly served with the United States Army during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Fontenot Auto Repair. A proud, caring man, he will be greatly missed by family and friends especially his significant other for 20 years, Betty Andrus of Eunice. He was a wonderful uncle to Joseph L. Fontenot of Clayton, GA, Cornelia Fontenot of Ville Platte, Joseph Granger, Wayne Vidrine, Bonnie Taylor, Floyd Vidrine, Valley Vidrine, Jr., Willie Vidrine, Sandy Fuselier and Ellen Medlin all of Eunice and a sisterinlaw, Juanita Bazinet also of Eunice.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Lee V. Fontenot parents, Armand and Edna Vidrine Fontenot and a brother, Eraste Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, January 13th from 10:00 am until 12 noon with a Rosary being recited at 11:00 am by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
