EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of John "Johnny" Lomas, SR announces his passing on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Acadian Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

John, known as "Johnny" to all, loved to cook and was a retired oilfield inspector. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, companion and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his three sons, John Lomas, JR and wife, Darla, Saige Lomas and wife, Tracy, and Jason Lomas, all of Eunice; three brothers, Francis "Tiny" Lomas of Eunice, Anthony "Tony" Lomas of Krotz Springs, and Mike DeRiso of Duson; three sisters, Anita Young and husband, Harold, Arlyne Bordelon and husband, Butch, all of Gonzales, and Betty Trahan and husband, Kenny of Scott; eight grandchildren, Adrienne Brown, Kimberly Bellon, John Lomas, III, Alex Lomas, Trae and Kamryn Miller, Courtney and Drake Lomas; seven great grandchildren; and companion and friend, Diana Parker of Crowley; as well as extended family and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Brown Lomas; parents, Ernest and Ida Fontenot Lomas; and brother, Charles G. Lomas.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, November 23rd from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, November 24th from 8:00 am until services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
