EUNICE-~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Earl Ray “Rickie” Ledoux announces his passing on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 77. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

Earl was born on September 23, 1947, in Eunice, Louisiana, to the late Ernest and Gladys Pitre Ledoux. He was affectionately known as “Rickie” by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He peacefully left this world with a heart full of love and a spirit that touched all who knew him.

Rickie was a beacon of positivity, embodying the beauty of a simple life. His unwavering optimism allowed him to make the best of every situation, always radiating happiness and kindness. Those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him remember him as a genuinely good person who knew how to uplift others.

Throughout his life, Rickie had a deep affection for animals, cherishing the companionship of his beloved pets. Yet, what brought him the greatest joy was the time he spent with family and friends. The warmth of his presence and the love he shared will be deeply missed.

He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his nieces and nephews, Pamela Ann Flotte and husband, David of New Orleans, Glenn Meeks and wife, Debby of Holly Springs, NC, John E. Ledoux, Jr. and wife, Keiko of Roselle Park, NJ, Matt Ledoux and wife, Angela of Houston, TX, Jeannette Fabbro and husband, Rob of Pensacola, FL, and Yvette Ledoux and husband, C.K. of Houston, TX; as well as extended family and friends.

 He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John E. Ledoux, Sr.; sister, Jerry Ledoux Meeks; brother-in-law, Hubert Meeks, Sr.; and nephews, James H. “Jimmy” Meeks and Mark Ledoux.
