Kathryn Sue Landreneau

    EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kathryn “Cathy” Sue Landreneau announces her passing on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 68 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Ardoin Cemetery in Mamou with Father Sam Fontana, Celebrant.

Kathryn, known as Cathy by all who knew and loved her, was born in Mamou, LA to Robley and Verna Mae Morvant Landreneau on June 26, 1954. She was a 1973 graduate of Lake Charles High School and attended college at McNeese State University. She taught for over 30 years in several parishes and retired from St. Landry Parish School Board in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church parish and Catholic Daughters of Americas. Kathryn will be missed dearly by her family, including her brother, Michael Landreneau and wife, Julie of Lake Charles and his children, Stephen Landreneau and wife, Liz of New Orleans, Theresa Landreneau of Lake Charles, Jacob Landreneau, of Lake Charles; her sister, Karen Landreneau Ardoin and husband, David of Lake Charles, and her children, Rachel Ardoin Barbry and husband, Bobby of Bridge City, TX, Korie Ardoin Rodriguez and husband, Raul of Chesapeake, VA, Michelle Ardoin Riggs and husband, Leroy of Lake Charles; her brother, Daniel Landreneau and wife, Melissa of Lake Charles, and his children, Adam Landreneau, Bailey Hale, and Sammy Hale, all of Lake Charles; six great nieces and five great nephews; her special, loving aunt, Geraldine “Geri” Landreneau Morvant of Lumberton, TX; her furry companions, Chachi and Lacey; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gregory Landreneau; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, May 10th from 10:00 am until time of services. The Catholic Daughters will pray a Rosary at 1:00 pm on Wednesday.
