Kenneth "Pug" Louis LeJeune, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the Acadian Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 11, 1946, in Eunice, where he lived a life rich with family, laughter, and community
Pug devoted ten years of his life to the Eunice Fire Department, serving with dedication and bravery. A veteran of the National Guard, he proudly completed four years of military service, exhibiting the spirit of teamwork and commitment that defined his character. Known for his joking spirit, Pug had an infectious sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed cooking, often whipping up delicious meals for family gatherings. He had a deep love for baseball and sporting events, which he shared with friends and family alike.
His passion extended into coaching as well, where he took great pride in guiding his girls' softball team. Pug cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving behind countless memories filled with love, laughter, and, inevitably, his playful jokes.
Pug is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Elaine LaFleur of Eunice; his daughters, Kim LeJeune DeVillier of Eunice and Tracey LeJeune Domingue, along with her husband Adam Jerome, also of Eunice. He is also survived by his sister, Norma Jane LeJeune Breaux, and her husband, Walter Bud of Youngsville.
His grandchildren include Bradley Lance Person and his wife, Frances of Lafayette; Raven DeVillier Lavergne and her husband Dustin of Eunice; Randi Kaye DeVillier Laperouse and her husband Philip of Abbeville; Zachary Person and his wife Elizabeth of Baton Rouge; and step-granddaughter Morgan Domingue Trosclair and her husband Tyler of Texas. He also leaves behind his step-grandson, Caleb Domingue of Eunice, and cherished great-grandchildren Mason Lavergne, Brylee Lavergne, Emery Lavergne, Flora Person, Theo Person, Thomas Person, John Person, Madilyn Laperouse, Joelle Laperouse, and step great-grandchild Collin Trosclair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Caffery Joseph and Leotine Caswell LeJeune, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Estella Hebert LaFleur.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pug's life at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Visitation will be held on December 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A second visitation will take place on December 2, 2025, from 8:00 AM, leading to a Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sam Fontana officiating.
Kenneth "Pug" Louis LeJeune will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his playful spirit, and the indelible mark he made on the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
