EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Kenneth Wayne Young announces his passing on the morning of Monday, February 17, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.

Wayne was very talented he loved to sing and played multiple instruments. He enjoyed motorcycles, camping, woodworking and knife making. He worked for the Eunice Fire Department for many years then became employed at Texas Gas, where he retired. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be forever missed by his family and friends especially his wife of 53 years, Ruth C. Young of Eunice three daughters, Sandra Y. David and husband, Blaine of Eunice, Rebecca Becky Y. Bell and husband, Tommy of Lafayette, and Cynthia Y. Sittig of Eunice. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Brandy David, Lacy Oliver, Kenny David, Stephen Sittig and Ashley Sittig and five great grandchildren, Steven, Ethan, Christopher, Lillian and Andrew.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Everett and Lillian LeJeune Young sister, Sybil Hayes and great grandson, Gavin David.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, February 18th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, February 19th from 8:00 am until time of services.
