Kerry Kim Moreau

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Moreau on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 63. He peacefully departed from his home. A Memorial Service in memory of Kim's life will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm.

Kim was born on September 2, 1959, in Eunice to his late parents, Vories Adam and Emily Mary Fruge Moreau. Throughout his life, he found joy in music and was a talented musician. He cherished spending time with his loving family. Kim had a passion for camping, cooking, hunting, and particularly enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras. As a drummer, he had the privilege of recording with Link Davis and touring with the late Dewey Balfa and other notable artists. His absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved son Brandon Moreau and husband Lucas Gilley of Basile; sister Faye M. Yoder of Basile; brothers Joseph Hoang Le and wife Brittney of Destrehan and Nam Le and wife Hein of California; sister-in-law Vecoy Moreau of Hayes; as well as extended family members and friends.

Kim is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wayne Moreau.

Visitation will take place at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Saturday, September 16th starting from 10:00 am until the time of services, as requested by the family.
