LouAnna Deshotel

   Iota~ On the beautiful afternoon of July 12, 2023, a sweet and gentle mother, LouAnna Deshotel passed away while surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78. A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iota. Interment will follow in the Millerville Cemetery in Tee Mamou with Pastor Rod LeJeune, officiating.

     Born on November 27, 1944 in Hathaway to Drozen Gary and Edna Mae Mott Gary, who preceded her in death was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, baking especially making wedding cakes and loved cooking for her family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially by her two daughters, Jennifer Hebert and husband, George of Evangeline and Sheryl Myers and Chad of Tee Mamou: four siblings, Russell Guidry of Iota, Carbert Guidry of Jennings, Joyce Olivas Rojo of Iota and Lena Rodriguez and husband, Baltazar of Jennings. The joys of her life her grandchildren, Jessica Koula and husband, Jamie, Rebecca Hebert, Sarah Hebert and Toby, Adrian Myers and Phillip Myers and wife, Paige, great grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin and Matthew Koula, Breaunna and Chloe Dietz, Alayah and Brantley Landry, Caiden Hebert, Kaleb and Jackson Myers, Nathan, Addisyn, Lilyan and Madelyn Myers and they were her everything.

      She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Felton Deshotel; son, John Fontenot; great granddaughter, Heidi Grace Dietz; siblings, Sam Gary, Louella Blanchard, Drozen Gary, Harvey Guidry and Edna Melgoza-Flores.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Friday, July 14^th from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, July 15^th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday.

   Pallbearers are Phillip Myers, Adrian Myers, Drozen Gary, Jamie Koula, Jonathan Koula and Matthew Koula; Honary , Chad Brossette and George Hebert.
