BASILEIt is with great sadness that the family of McKinley Mac Ceasar announces his passing on the evening of Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the Assumption Cemetery with Father David Hebert Celebrant.

McKinley, or Mac as he was affectionately called by family and friends was a retired rice farmer. He was a member of Knights of Peter Claver and his favorite pass time was going on trail rides. He loved zydeco music and loved to dance but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his two sons, Danny Ceasar and his wife, Geraldine of Missouri City, TX and Dennis Ceasar and his wife, Jackie of Carencro his daughter, Patricia Celestine of Houston, TX two brothers, Curtis Ceasar and wife, Marcelene of Lake Charles and Jimmy Ceasar and wife, Ethel of Atlanta, GA his sister, Laura Simien and husband, Lernest of Lake Charles. He was a loving and wonderful grandfather to twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Willis Ceasar four sons, Paul, Warren, McKinley, Jr. and Ricky Ceasar his parents, Joseph and Mary Fontenot Ceasar three brothers, Norris, Nelson, and Rodney Ceasar two sisters, Delores Hall and Lillian Matthews.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Monday, February 17th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father David Hebert will recite a Rosary at 10:00 am Monday morning.
