Michael Brunet

    EUNICE~ It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Michael K. Brunet announces his passing on the evening of Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Basile Care Center at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

      Michael was born on February 16, 1949, to Ferdie and Joyce Fuselier Brunet in Mamou, La. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was an offshore driller, an artist, and carpenter who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Amy Miller and husband, Doug of Eunice; two grandchildren, Sebastian May and Hope May; Goddaughter, Kelly Fontenot; niece, Kellie Shipp and husband, Danny; as well as extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Basile Care Center, Hope Hospice and nurse, Donna Johnson for all their care and compassion.

     He is preceded in death by his wife, Becky Lantz Brunet; his parents; and daughter, Hope Brunet.

     At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 8:00 am until time of services.
