It is with heavy hearts that the family of Miguel Jeremiah Pousson announces his passing on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home in Eunice, Louisiana. He was 79 years old. Miguel’s life will be honored with a private graveside memorial at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana at a later time.
Born on March 29, 1947, in Eunice to the late Albert and Willie Bertrand Pousson, Miguel lived a life marked by dedication and service. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he remained deeply connected to his fellow servicemen as a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Eunice. Miguel cherished the simple joys of life, especially his time spent fishing and hunting.
Miguel will be missed by all, including his children: Brandon Pousson and his companion, Natalie Pinkava of Eunice, Bryan Pousson and his wife, Amberly of Eunice, and Felicia Mae Detten and her husband, David Tomlin of Jonesboro. He was a grandfather to ten grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. His extended family and many friends also share in the grief of his passing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Pousson, his parents, his sister, Linda LeJeune, and his brother, Clarence Pousson.
