Patricia Joy Atchison

EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Patricia “Pat” Joy Norris Atchison on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. At the request of the family, a private memorial service will be held at a later time.

    Patricia was born in Eunice to Ed and Esther Tupper Norris, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Eunice High School and USL, majoring in English. She taught various grades at several local private schools and Eunice Junior High until retirement. Patricia was very artistic and crafty, and she loved shopping at Hobby Lobby. She cherished her three children and especially her two grandchildren.  

     Her memory will be treasured by all especially by her husband of fifty-two years, Charles “Brother” Atchison of Eunice; her daughter, Jacqueline S. Atchison of Eunice; her sons, Todd E. Atchison and wife, Mona of Broussard and David A. Atchison of Eunice; sister, Mary N. Williams and husband, Richard of Krotz Springs; grandson, Cameron P. Atchison and wife, Autumn of Lafayette and granddaughter, Kennedy J. Atchison of Broussard; with one great grandchild on the way.

    Patricia is now reunited with her parents, Ed Norris and Esther Tupper Norris, and her brothers, Danny and Johnny Norris.
