EUNICE ~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia Marie Huckaby Chatman announces her passing on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her residence at the age of 81.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Romero Celebrant

Patsy was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved being outdoors watching the squirrels and birds. Patsy did enjoy going to the casino.
She will be missed dearly by her two loving daughters, Belinda Chatman Ashford and her husband, Mitchel of Turkey Creek and Melinda Chatman of Eunice; a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Miller of Basile; six grandchildren, Shawn David Fontenot, Mitchel Ashford Jr., Von Dale Ashford, Idea Ashford Wells, Trisha Ann McDaniel and Brandon Ashford; ten great grandchildren, Shawn Michael, Dillon and Eaton Fontenot, Trevor, Shaylynn, Donavon, Ashton, Briley and Briah Ashford, Rylan Fontenot and
Lucas Ashford.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alton L. and Evora Andrus Huckaby; step-mother, Eulalie F. Huckaby and step-father, Luke Gaspard;
three sisters, Betty Jayne LeCoq, Verda Mae Siffert and Kathleen Briscoe; and two brothers, James Drew Huckaby and Alton "Tony" Huckaby.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 6th from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will lead a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday.
